The Kooikerhond is a happy, energetic dog with a loving character. She is friendly, good natured, and attentive. She loves her own family and will guard your home but will not bark unnessesarily.

She has a great capibility to adjust to different situations and is very intelligent. She will at times be calm, while at other times will be very playful.  

​

The kooikerhond is very sensitive to noise and loud sounds and is easily corrected. She is not everyones friend and in first instance will react reserved towards strangers. When she has bonded with you, you have made yourself a friend for life.

She moves in a quick tempo, is light-footed and has a graceful white waving tail. She loves to do things for her family and play fetch endlessly.

​

The average height of the Kooikerhond is 36 to 40 cm (14.2 - 15.8 inches). She has a silky all-weather coat of white and orange/ brown patches.  They are instantly recognizable thanks to their large black tipped ears and the richly featherd tail that they wag proudly. The almond-shaped dark brown eyes have a friendly expression.

Our dogs, Senna and Cindy,  and are free and not carrier of ENM or VWB, and both of them have had their eyes tested.  Tests for Patella luxatie show they are both free. 

​

While the health of the dog is most important, the character of the dog also plays an important role in our decision to let our dog have a litter of puppies. Cindy and Senna are very loving, calm, human orientated and affectionate family dogs with a great will to learn and please.  Anyone that knows how loyal a dog can be will understand our hope for many more families to share this heart-warming experience.
